Anyra

For nearly a thousand years, the city of Anyra has been ruled by a goddess known as the Totem. The Totem has two sides, two halves blended into one goddess. The kind motherly side of the Totem gifts Anyra with healthy children and bountiful harvests, but the fierce, warriorlike side thirsts for blood and destruction. Each year, a virgin girl must be sacrificed into the mouth of a volcano in order to satiate the Totem's bloodlust and allow her to reign over Anyra with peace and kindness. Adelaide Lanasting is selected as this sacrifice. Adelaide is given one month to settle her affairs before she is thrown into the mouth of the volcano.
